Currently a senior software engineer that focuses on front-end development and design. Primarily a hybrid designer and developer that is allowed to start new projects with design concepts and then develop them into full functioning web applications.

  • Part of a two person team that created a mobile web application called GLG/GO that allows users to make connections to our company's expansive list of experts. The web app was built using Polymer, node.js, express.js, SASS and gulp.js for build management. Distributed through the AppStore using the Cordova Platform.

  • Participated on a greenfield project that focuses on improving and streamlining the user experience of connecting people together. Designed and helped build a desktop and mobile scheduling web app that allows two or more parties to schedule phone call independently without the assistance of our company's research associates. The web app was built using Angular 1.x, stylus, node.js, express.js, SQL and gulp.js.

  • Designed multiple page layouts with the goal of making it easier for our employees to search and process our company's network. Some of the applications include scheduling, profile entry and client organization. Many concepts and mockups were created with Sketch (by Bohemian Coding) and then brought to life using HTML, JavaScript and CSS3.

Worked on the Content Solutions team to design and develop content channels for publishers and brands. Some of these brands include Samsung, Golfsmith, USA Today and SFGate. Many of my everyday tasks included both disciplines of design and development.

  • Maintained and developed responsive web properties and content channels using CSS, JavaScript and HTML. The main goal was to create solutions that are device-agnostic which will allow page display to function perfectly on every resolution spectrum.

  • Designed mockups using Sketch App (from Bohemian Coding) for content channel properties that include Samsung, GolfSmith and Honest Co. When mockups were approved by upper management and stakeholders, I proceeded to build the properties using JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

  • Built a Wordpress theme for the Content Solutions marketing website. The Content Solutions theme's foundation is underscores by Automattic and all CSS markup was written using SASS (CSS preprocessor). Utilized grunt for build/deploy automation and generating the website.

Software Engineer

Worked as a freelancer for web development (primarly front-end), mobile app design and web design. Clients predominantly requested web application design and protyping. Worked on two mobile app designs for the iOS platform and delivered all assets using Sketch artboards, Xcode storyboards and objective-c for demos and proof of concept.

  • Delivered a mobile app design for an Event based application for Weddings and Anniversarys. Created UX workflow and mockups that demonstrated the design, tone and branding. The mobile app was designed with Sketch artboards and then migrated to Xcode using Storyboards and Auto Layout. All assets and art was sliced and placed in Xcode's Assets Catalog for functional protoyping.

  • Designed and built a full functioning web application that allows health professionals build a questionaire for patients to determine health history and simulate doctor visits. The web app was created with Backbone.js for routing, models and views. Jquery was used for DOM manipulation and ajax requests. Successfully delivered a fully functional prototype that was built to stake holder specifications.

Primarily focused on assisting with the interface design and implementation of SpaceCraft's web publishing platform. SpaceCraft's publishing platform is unique in that it allows users to create websites without having to know how to code. User experience was the primary objective with each project assignment.

  • Created responsive websites with fluid grids, flexible images and media queries using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Transformed sketches and PSD mockups into real pixels using standards-compliant code that is cross-browser compatible. The main technologies utilized was CSS3, HTML, and JavaScript.

  • Assisted with creating visual design layouts for customers who purchase SpaceCraft's design assistance package. Responsibilities include creating sketches and mockups for design review and then implementing them for the browser using code.

Helped bootstrap two friends' startup venture. Skyence's main goal is to make cloud storage easy to share, protect and manage with the use of our REST API. Mainly responsible for implementing all client-side functionality of Skyence's product using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Designed and implemented Skyence's main website using a static site generator called Jekyll. Wrote all HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that drives the website.

  • Wrote a customized blog utilizing Jekyll's Liquid template engine and integrated it directly into their main site.

  • Built Skyence's web application using Backbone.js, jQuery and Underscore.js templating. All major assets on the web interface was coded with CSS3 with the exception of some icons and pattern backgrounds. The entire web application's CSS was written with LESS to take advantage of varibles, mixins, functions and nested rules.

Worked on two projects that included both a mobile web application called AppMerchant and a traditional web application called Merchant Console. Both applications were designed and developed for the Chinese market. Internationalized both applications to display all text in Mandarin Chinese or English with the use of a simple ON/OFF preference setting.

  • Created a proof of concept mobile web application called AppWallet using Sencha Touch, Ext JS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. AppMerchant is a mobile web application that is designed to work with the China mobile platform called Neusoft Widget and was internationalized with JavaScript in order to display text in Mandarian Chinese and English.

  • Built a web application called Merchant Workbench that allowed business owners to manage coupons and build daily deals with the use of Appconomy's platform (AppWallet). Some client-side technologies that were utilized for this project include Backbone.js, Underscore.js and jQuery. All markup was written with HTML and CSS.

  • Created a pageless web application called the Writer App using Backbone.js, Underscore.js, Handlebars.js and jQuery with modular, object-oriented JavaScript.   • Experience building templates with an assortment of JavaScript micro-templating tools that include Underscore.js, Mustache.js, and Handlebars.js.

  • Built user interfaces for data visualization for product managers, engineers and executive management to monitor article generation and title assignments for freelance writers. Wrote both the front-end and server-side components using JavaScript, Python and Tornado web server.

  • Transformed design mockups from UX Designers and Product Managers into semantic W3C standard HTML templates and CSS. Able to construct prototype experimental features quickly with functional HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

  • Part of a small team that built a JavaScript based Community Groups widget that is used by national brands such as AARP, SFGate, Runner's World, NPR and Self. Community Groups allow users to connect with each other with integrated blogs, forums, events, video and photo galleries and private messaging.

  • Developed and improved existing product functionality for Demand Media's Social Media Platform (Forums, Blogs, Personas, and Reviews) using ASP.NET/C#, JavaScript, XHTML and CSS.

  • Integrated 3rd party APIs such aas Twitter, LinkedIn, Yahoo and Facebook into Demand Media's Social Platform (also known as Pluck). This allowed customers to "Like", send Twitter messages, or connect with their professional network while submitting comments from sites such as USAToday, Washington Post and

  • Designed and developed a reporting tool using Python that automates the process of collecting page view counts and API usage from all customers using our social media platform (Pluck).
