Currently a senior software engineer that focuses on front-end development and design. Primarily a hybrid designer and developer that is allowed to start new projects with design concepts and then develop them into full functioning web applications.
Part of a two person team that created a mobile web application called GLG/GO that allows users to make connections to our company's expansive list of experts. The web app was built using Polymer, node.js, express.js, SASS and gulp.js for build management. Distributed through the AppStore using the Cordova Platform.
Participated on a greenfield project that focuses on improving and streamlining the user experience of connecting people together. Designed and helped build a desktop and mobile scheduling web app that allows two or more parties to schedule phone call independently without the assistance of our company's research associates. The web app was built using Angular 1.x, stylus, node.js, express.js, SQL and gulp.js.

Worked on the Content Solutions team to design and develop content channels for publishers and brands. Some of these brands include Samsung, Golfsmith, USA Today and SFGate. Many of my everyday tasks included both disciplines of design and development.
Built a Wordpress theme for the Content Solutions marketing website. The Content Solutions theme's foundation is underscores by Automattic and all CSS markup was written using SASS (CSS preprocessor). Utilized grunt for build/deploy automation and generating the website.

August 2013 - December 2013
Worked as a freelancer for web development (primarly front-end), mobile app design and web design. Clients predominantly requested web application design and protyping. Worked on two mobile app designs for the iOS platform and delivered all assets using Sketch artboards, Xcode storyboards and objective-c for demos and proof of concept.
Delivered a mobile app design for an Event based application for Weddings and Anniversarys. Created UX workflow and mockups that demonstrated the design, tone and branding. The mobile app was designed with Sketch artboards and then migrated to Xcode using Storyboards and Auto Layout. All assets and art was sliced and placed in Xcode's Assets Catalog for functional protoyping.
Designed and built a full functioning web application that allows health professionals build a questionaire for patients to determine health history and simulate doctor visits. The web app was created with Backbone.js for routing, models and views. Jquery was used for DOM manipulation and ajax requests. Successfully delivered a fully functional prototype that was built to stake holder specifications.

Primarily focused on assisting with the interface design and implementation of SpaceCraft's web publishing platform. SpaceCraft's publishing platform is unique in that it allows users to create websites without having to know how to code. User experience was the primary objective with each project assignment.
Assisted with creating visual design layouts for customers who purchase SpaceCraft's design assistance package. Responsibilities include creating sketches and mockups for design review and then implementing them for the browser using code.

Wrote a customized blog utilizing Jekyll's Liquid template engine and integrated it directly into their main site.
Built Skyence's web application using Backbone.js, jQuery and Underscore.js templating. All major assets on the web interface was coded with CSS3 with the exception of some icons and pattern backgrounds. The entire web application's CSS was written with LESS to take advantage of varibles, mixins, functions and nested rules.
December 2011 - March 2012
Worked on two projects that included both a mobile web application called AppMerchant and a traditional web application called Merchant Console. Both applications were designed and developed for the Chinese market. Internationalized both applications to display all text in Mandarin Chinese or English with the use of a simple ON/OFF preference setting.
Built a web application called Merchant Workbench that allowed business owners to manage coupons and build daily deals with the use of Appconomy's platform (AppWallet). Some client-side technologies that were utilized for this project include Backbone.js, Underscore.js and jQuery. All markup was written with HTML and CSS.

Integrated 3rd party APIs such aas Twitter, LinkedIn, Yahoo and Facebook into Demand Media's Social Platform (also known as Pluck). This allowed customers to "Like", send Twitter messages, or connect with their professional network while submitting comments from sites such as USAToday, Washington Post and NFL.com
Designed and developed a reporting tool using Python that automates the process of collecting page view counts and API usage from all customers using our social media platform (Pluck). The reporting tool is used by the Business Intelligence group to understand the overall usage of the Social Media toolset and business effectiveness. This tool also provided critical data to help Demand Media launch its IPO in 2011.
